Message 35647 - Posted 8 Nov 2010 21:46:10 UTC I did wait until after you had posted ;-) Somebody has to run the first end-to-end check that the downloaded file is working - and it may as well be me. At least one release failed that test. |

I'm in the process of Updating them all to v6.12.4, that should do me until the 6.15.xx comes out ... lol So far I don't see any reason to go to 6.12.5 over 6.12.4, neither one of them I care for. The Notice Window Popping up all the Time in nothing but a nuisance, and when I shut down the Client via the Tray Icon it never fully shut down the Client. I have to go into the Task Manager and Manually close the boinc .exc. 6.12.4 & 6.12.5 both show the same tendencies to not shut down completely ... |

The Notice Window Popping up all the Time Can also be disabled. Tools menu->Display and Network options->General tab->slide the Notifications reminder interval slider to the left (zero)->OK. |

[quoteI would have thought the fix of the gpu_active_frac bug would be enough to warrant upgrading to 6.12.5]/quote] Don't know anything about that, I just run the Wu's and don't worry about things like gpu_active_frac ... If the Boinc client and apps aren't shutting down when you exit the Manager, That's not an Option as far as I can see in either 5.12.4 or 6.12.5 ... |

That's not an Option as far as I can see in either 5.12.4 or 6.12.5 ... Nobody said it's an option. It's part of the BOINC manager exit dialog, which can be enabled via "Tools > Display and Network Options" menu. Gruß, Gundolf |

If my answer in your own thread didn't satisfy you, you should say so in that thread and not ask the same questions again elsewhere. Gruß, Gundolf |

No need to quarrel, you pointed him to this thread. But I assume it was to read the thread, not so much to go post in it. |
