BOINC 6.12.5 released for testing for Windows, Windows x64

I did wait until after you had posted ;-)

Somebody has to run the first end-to-end check that the downloaded file is working - and it may as well be me. At least one release failed that test.

I'm in the process of Updating them all to v6.12.4, that should do me until the 6.15.xx comes out ... lol

v6.12.5 is out, working, and an improvement on v6.12.4 - until I can find the next bug ;-)

So far I don't see any reason to go to 6.12.5 over 6.12.4, neither one of them I care for. The Notice Window Popping up all the Time in nothing but a nuisance, and when I shut down the Client via the Tray Icon it never fully shut down the Client. I have to go into the Task Manager and Manually close the boinc .exc. 6.12.4 & 6.12.5 both show the same tendencies to not shut down completely ...

I would have thought the fix of the gpu_active_frac bug would be enough to warrant upgrading to 6.12.5,

If the Boinc client and apps aren't shutting down when you exit the Manager,
have you by any chance unticked the option 'Stop running science apps when exiting the manager'?,
you'll have to Enable the 'Manager exit dialog' to see that option, (Tools > Display and Network Options)

The Notice Window Popping up all the Time

Can also be disabled. Tools menu->Display and Network options->General tab->slide the Notifications reminder interval slider to the left (zero)->OK.

Don't know anything about that, I just run the Wu's and don't worry about things like gpu_active_frac ...

That's not an Option as far as I can see in either 5.12.4 or 6.12.5 ...

Nobody said it's an option. It's part of the BOINC manager exit dialog, which can be enabled via "Tools > Display and Network Options" menu.

Have all my Box's Updated to v6.12.5 now, getting used to the newer layout but still don't like a lot of things about it ...

If my answer in your own thread didn't satisfy you, you should say so in that thread and not ask the same questions again elsewhere.

No need to quarrel, you pointed him to this thread. But I assume it was to read the thread, not so much to go post in it.
