I have recently uninstantiated boinc a month ago or so and then when I tried to reinstall it there was an error message saying I couldn't find the boinc msi.

Could somebody please tell me how to fix this.
I tried the cleanup tool but that is not for windows 7. I tried the install then uninstall an old version but the old version didn't work. (these options described in the help link on the boinc main page.

Check out the FAQ Service Windows Installer Error 1714. Read the whole thing, but you may need the resort to using the last option.

It turns out that I hadn't read enough of the instructions for the Windows Install Clean Up tool and thought that just installing it was all that was needed to be done and before that it didn't say that it was compatible with windows 7.

Turns out I is compatible and I had to run it from the start menu.

PS it isn't CleanUp its Clean Up. I was looking for a program with one word for that.
