Can anyone recommend projects to run on an old 400Mhz celeron with 64M RAM? It's running LHC happily at the moment, but sometimes it seems there's no work available so it just sits there idling.

SETI won't give it any work 'coz of the lack of memory, and CPDN borks, saying it'll never finish :(

cheers!

You could help Seti by joining the Beta-Seti. This is the test bed for the next generation of Seti client. The crunch times are long, and there is no guarantee that the credits will remain after this enhanced version of Seti is released to the public. I believe it only requires 32M and they do need a greater variety of computers to test the software including slow ones.

It is run as a separate project and you will need to create an account for it.
