Hi, i noticed that the computation service is running as 32 bit instead of x64 (i see it in task manager as *32). I tried different boinc versions, always the same.. i'm running on 7 x64..Any idea? |

Not all projects have 64bit applications, most have 32bit applications only. BOINC doesn't do any calculations, the project science applications do. |

U can double check what architecture your client is by checking the very first log entry line (messages tab in advanced view of the manager) right after a restart. It'll tell you if its x86 or x86_64 in both WinXP and Linux. - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

The BOINC client is 32-bit so it's able to link to NVIDIA 32-bit-only libraries. It still runs 64-bit project apps (if available). Bitness of the client is pretty irrelevant :) |
