Hi, First of all I really like BOINC and the broader idea about BOINC, so that I spend some of my idle PC time for some projects. Me and a friend also have some ideas, that would be nice to have BOINC'ed and therefore I had a look into your documantaries but neither I nor my friend are professional programmers so it's hard to start. So is there some kind of step-by-step instructions for beginners? Some virtual sandboxes (not the vm server, I found that) or other "easy" to start examples? In your track system are some examples but I find them quite difficult, because I don't know what's important and what's not. I would also visit a nice person explaining it personally, when this person is living in Germany :). Thanks in advance foryour help, Andreas |

What is it you want to do? Run the BOINC client on your computer? Or set up your own project and write your own applications? -- Eric Myers "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -- William Butler Yeats |

... Or set up your own project and write your own applications? Then you may find this a good start: Creating and Configuring a BOINC Project -- Eric Myers "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -- William Butler Yeats |
