I would like to configure my BOINC preferences as follows: Processor usage On multiprocessors, use at most 2 processors From 10pm to 5am, use at most 4 processors What do you think about a processor usage that changes with time? An Alien |

Although I currently have no use for this feature it sounds like a good idea to me. I also think use x processors when idle and y processors when the user is active would be a good feature. In both cases I don't expect to see this anytime soon. I would expect a simple/advanced preference menu to be implemented first. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

I agree. I was looking thru the posts to see if this had been requested already otherwise I was going to post a enhancement request. |

As a refinement to this I would like to see the use N cpu's done locally on the host so that the user could carry on processing on some/'or one' cpu's while they run other programs on the other cpu(s). |
