Does anyone know if its possible to remove a IP from the drop down box inside the "Select Computer" menu? I'm using the Windows version as my management console and have recently decommissioned a few of the servers that were running BOINC. |

Jeez I've found this twice before and here I am asking again... Where is this drop down list stored in Linux? - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

In the .BOINC Manager configuration file in your home (or user) directory. It's in the [ComputerMRU] section. |

I was looking for this same info for Mac and this helped. Since this is the first thing that came up when I Googled this I thought I would add this for Mac users also. Like Linux it's in your home directory: ~[home dir]/Library/Preferences/BOINC Manager Preferences For the changes to stick you must shut down BOINC or the preferences will rewrite from the program cache when you shut it down to reload the preferences file. As Ageless said, look for the [ComputerMRU] section in a text editor and delete the unwanted entries. They will be labeled 0=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 1=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ... with the most recently connected hosts listed first. Renumbering is not an issue as the program with clean that up on reload. Thanks guys, this has been bugging me since I reconfigured my network and had to deal with all the old IPs and host names in the list. |

It should go without saying, but I forgot to say that after you edit "BOINC Manager Preferences" and save it you need to restart BOINC Manager and you will see the "Select Computer" list is fixed. |
