Looks like they had a database crash. I've asked for an update. |

It was a database crash. According to Eric they're now waiting for the tables to be rebuilt. Last time around that took 24 hours, so expect that amount of time this time as well. |

It seems like Seti's problems are continuing. Their forums are very slow again, if they load at all. This happened prior to the last database crash as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are down, or go down any moment. |

Well SETI appears to have company -- Collatz went offline about 10 hours ago (1PM PDT). It seems like Seti's problems are continuing. Their forums are very slow again, if they load at all. This happened prior to the last database crash as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are down, or go down any moment. |

Greetings Jord, Well, it's just another typical weekend in the land of SETI. The project Cricket graph is flat lined. The website Cricket graph shows some activity, but there is no getting to it. Gonna be a lonnnnnnnng weekend! :( And I was hoping to hit another milestone today or tomorrow. :( Keep on BOINCing...! (if you can) :) CMDR. Yep.... SET is definately down... COMPLETELY. The servers want weekends off, and are rebelling again. |

Collatz came back up this morning -- not the projects fault, they lost network connectivity entirely. As to SETI -- I really think they should be encouraging folks to have multiple projects. Given the very large user population they support, when things go bump in the night (and there are a LOT of things), some of the folks who are 'SETI-only' types get really frustrated. Then again, since some of those 'SETI-only' types appear to carry a bit of attitude toward other projects in general AND anyone who might vent their frustration when their only project encounters one of its all too frequent bumps, the atmosphere over in their message boards (when they are running) can get a bit testy. I have taken to not posting over there myself, it just doesn't work for me. |

Just was able to upload to SETI & SETI Beta. I suspect it will still be some time before things get back to normal. |

I noticed that SETI seemed to come to life momentarily, then disappeared again. The Server/Daemon History Page showed all systems GO at 02:00 UTC, then totally gone again shortly thereafter. |

It has been a troubled holiday weekend -- Einstein went AWOL in the past hour or so -- can't access the home page, let alone the rest of the servers. |

Seti's pages and forums are available. Uploads might be possible as well. Downloads and reports aren't. |

The Einstein problem is that the filesystem server has filled up again. The admin there has taken time off of their free day to go fix it as well. Thank you, David. :-) |

Good news, I wish them luck on their endeavor -- the site is offline at the moment (8AM PDT). Spinhenge is back online. In keeping with the 'holiday outages theme' though, in addition to Einstein, SETI is offline again, and has now been joined by MilkyWay and Dnetc. All in all, a rather dismal weekend in BOINC land. The Einstein problem is that the filesystem server has filled up again. The admin there has taken time off of their free day to go fix it as well. Thank you, David. :-) |

DNetC is back up -- good news there. MW, SETI and Einstein remain unreachable. It is the holiday weekend, so I suspect that SETI and MW will remain offline until tomorrow (when SETI goes back offline for maintenance -- though the positive effect of weekly 6 hour offline maintenance for SETI *appears* to be limited. It is possible that the disk space problems that surprised Einstein this weekend are severe enough to cause a more extensive outage there. I do recall they have had disk space over-runs in the past.... As to MW -- they have been pretty reliable for a while, so I guess they were due for an outage. |

Indeed -- good for them -- coming in over the holiday weekend to get things going. So for me, the two offline projects remain SETI -- and I suspect this week, like last week is going to be a difficult one for them, and MilkyWay -- which likely won't come back online until sometime tomorrow. Einstein@Home is back. |

The holiday weekend madness seems to be continuing. DnetC is coping with server issues (particularly the scheduler). They are working on it. Collatz appears to be coping with their service provider (I believe that would be ComNotCast). MW and SETI remain out. |
