CPDN main project

The servers are now all up and running again so any HadAM3P files stuck in the Transfers tab can now upload.

Milo says:
We're currently experiencing some problems with the cpdn scheduling server, but we hope that it will be back up as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

The operating system is being upgraded. Trickles are not possible. If you can please suspend nework activity until the servers are working again.

At the moment all the CPDN servers seem to be working properly but tomorrow (Tuesday) Milo may need to one or more down again for further work.

Upload server cpdn-upload1.comlab which takes #2 final zip files from HadAM3P models is down with a problem that can't be sorted immediately. This file will not upload from the Transfers tab.

You could:

* suspend this model type before completion to prevent it from generating the file
* suspend network activity if you have a file stuck
* do nothing and just tolerate the upload error messages

Different earlier problem. There was a power cut in Oxford last night which caused many CPDN and Beta servers to fail. This problem is now fixed.

Milo now has all the CPDN servers up and running again. The credit scripts have been stopped or delayed for several days but tomorrow (Friday) we should again see our totals exported to the credit websites.

One of the uploaders (cpdn-upload1.comlab) is down, as is the Transitioner.

It's early AM in the UK at the moment, so this may take a while.

Looks like a campus-wide (or at least Space Science Lab) power outage: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/%20http://seti.berkeley.edu/

Edit - cancel that, BOINC lives in the SSL too, doesn't it. May just be a router/switch - they've been having trouble with those recently.

CPDN main project

Upload server cpdn-upload1.comlab is down and Milo will have no access to it until Monday. Here's the server status page.

This server accepts the #2 file produced at the end of HadAM3P models. Files #1 and #3 are uploaded to different servers and are not affected by this outage. But #2 will remain stuck in the Transfers tab, unable to upload at the moment. Please do not try to force it to upload as it cannot. Other model types are not affected.

You could:
* temporarily suspend HadAM3P models before they complete so they do not generate their three files while the server is down (but remember that CPDN cannot send you new models while any of its tasks are suspended)
* or in the Boinc manager Activity menu temporarily suspend network activity
* or do nothing and continue as normal

After a brief reappearance around the New Year, the Ramsey@home site again seems unreachable.

All 4 upload files for HadSM3MH tasks are also affected by this outage (no tasks are currently being issued for this application but many are still being run). The upload files are generated at 25%, 50%, 75% and on completion.

CPDN Beta project

The Beta server has filled up again (it also did yesterday) so Milo has disabled it and is moving data off.

This does not affect members who only crunch models for the main project.
