I would like to recommend a Facebook application - a thing that when you click on it, the web page you are on is immediately sent to your Facebook page, which is then seen by all of your "friends".
I do not know if this is the right place, if not, just tell me where.
I would like to present the idea to each project individually. When I did this at WCG, all sorts of alarms and sirens went off, I was called a spammer. So, of course, I will be more delicate here and ask, how do we get this done?
There are very few of us actively crunching compared to the number of computers, Win, Mac, Linux, whatever.
Facebook is a way for us to get the word out to our non-tech friends. In fact, many news, blog, etc sites have a whole "share" bloc loaded with about 6-8 social networking links. That would be even better.
WCG does in fact have a Facebook application link on each project's main page. The trouble is, it is the same Facebook link, and only links to the WCG main page. People then need to drill to find out about projects. That is too much for many people.
So, the idea is a unique Facebook link for each project, taking the reader of my Facebook page directly to a project, not to BOINC.
Can we get this done? Where do I continue?
