I am wondering whether it's possible to create a BOINC project for testing Linux Kernel (automatically inside a tiny virtual machine with various configurations and virtual peripherals) and reporting bugs. Such project can be connected with kerneloops.org.

Hi, I was equaly curious about whether this would be possible as well. I was wondering if instead of a node always reporting back to a central BOINC server, they could actually be networked together, and exchange data with each other. What is needed is a BOINC compliant virtual server that could run in the client.
