Hi,
there seems to be a bug in the download function for WU's in the core Client. If a tcp timeout occurs during a download, boinc is pausing the download. This is ok so far. But after boinc try to resume the download, it reports a download failure to the project. But boinc dosen't abort the download and downloads the WU with out any further problems and then the WU is thrown away. I think the correct way would be to retry the download at least 3 times before reporting an error to the project.

Yes it was a rather annoying bug.
Fixed on 16 Aug 2005.

I had this bug sometimes with BOINC 4.72.
