I have 7 PC's and I wanted to set each one to have it's own day of the week to "call home" to whatever project that it is running. However the Day-of-week over ride don't seem to work for dialup. Is this ture or is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

Right now they dial anytime BOINC needs to "call home" and this is good BUT (always a BUT!) it ties up my phone line to the point that people have a hard time calling me.

I was thinking to let each PC have it's own Night of the week and have the phoneline free for me during the day.

Thanks for your help!

P.S. Most of my PC's are using either wcg_boinc_6.6.28 or the one downloaded from the BOINC Site 6.6.28

I tried using the 6.6.38 but BOINC stops working in Limited User Account even if it installs to run as a service for everyone.

What is your setting set to for Network usage allowed every day between the hours of X and Y?

Do you have set the Activity menu of BOINC manager to "Network activity based on preferences"?

Each PC is given from 9pm to 6am to use the net. Each Modem is set to hangup about 30 mins of idle time. After that if the PC needs to call home again it can do so.

Yes on the 2nd posting. However once I found out it was not working I went to doing it myself. I still would like to get it to work on it's own because I have missed some deadlines doing it myself.

Can you test with BOINC 6.10 if it still shows the same behaviour? The latest test version for Windows is 6.10.12, just released tonight.

Additionally,
I tried using the 6.6.38 but BOINC stops working in Limited User Account even if it installs to run as a service for everyone.

Was there any error message? Can you also test this with 6.10, please?
