Unfortunately I finally had to filter a user who continuously spam almost every thread over at the SETI@Home message boards and doesn't add any value with those posts. To my horror I noticed that the message board still shows the posts from this user, but now as large empty boxes. This isn't really helpful since this user regularly answers himself and can have five or more posts in a row so the board is still spammed. Did I miss some option to completely remove any trace of this user or is this a feature that can be added perhaps?

Regards
PP

That's not what the filter process does and it's not something that will be added either. It's a simple ignore function, which masks the posts of that user with a blank field. It won't make him go away.

What do you think would happen if any user had the ability to block any other user from posting to the forum?

I think he meant it had the same effect as putting someone on your "block list" in phpBB. Then you don't see any of his posts. But since we don't use phpBB... well... ;-)
