Oh so that's It, I use RealTemp 3.56 and RivaTuner 2.24 for the cpu and gpu temps on My Intel based PC, RealTemp and RivaTuner work together if one wants them to, It's too bad RealTemp and BoincTasks don't do the same, RealTemp mentions a plugin in relation to RivaTuner.

Hi. I'm a therapist adript in the world of science. BOINC sounds fascinating especially Seti@home. I downloaded and ran BOINC, and chose Seti, but I don't know what's next. How do I know if i did everything successfully to get started, and that I'm now a volunteer? Thanks

Hi Fred,

I liked the checkpoint column addition allot in the original 0.68 incarnation... turning red after an hour. The way reading how it works in 0.69 suggests that if WTD is 60 seconds, default, it turns red after 2 times that if none was made. 2 minutes is not allot, so maybe have that color turning defined as an option to enter the desired maximum time.

Now a tricky request: We've got on WCG several researches running that are highly variable in run time but have a fixed number of checkpoints (those variable in length too), so when counted out from the message log one knows when the end of the job is near or whereabouts in the task progress is. E.g. CEP2 has 16 and others have fixed e.g. 50, every 2% one. So here it is: Display of the number of checkpoints already made, maybe in brackets like last 33:50 (3). The caveat is that the checkpoint count is not recorded in any of the result slot files (except CEP2 marked as job 1 2 3 etc), so restarting the client would loose the count unless BT is made to keep track.

Feasible?

I will make an additional config.xml for special settings.
Like what projects/time should give a warning.

A checkpoint counter should be possible if BT is running from start to finish.
And the checkpoint times are more that 30 seconds apart.

Thx for the checkpoint counting feature. Excellent use on sciences that we know have a fixed number and especially where the progress % is not reliable.

Fred I made BT 0.71 launch Boinc.exe and I set Boinc 6.10.56 to not launch Boinc.exe and such now when I try to right click on the line under Share which is in projects, Nothing happens now that BT is in charge.

Also right clicking on that same line(for the info for S@H for This PC is displayed) will turn that line Grey and It will not return to the previously set color without ending BT and then restarting BT.

Can these two problems be fixed?

Can these two problems be fixed?

?? What is the question, be more specific.
1) When you run BT you can still use the BOINC Manager if you want, it can still access the client. Nothing really changes, it doesn't matter who starts the client.
What line under share? The column header. In BoincTasks?
And BT is not in charge it just started the BOINC client just BOINC Manager would.

2) In Projects, select the line e.g. SETI@HOME and next use the right mouse key.
The selection color, normally blue, can be removed the Windows way, by holding the CTRL key and clicking on the line again with the left mouse key. = remove selection.

Ok here's the screen grab of 0.71.

I just know that when I use BT in place of Boinc Manager, right clicking on that greyed line does not bring up the menu that has properties on It.

[solved]Also It's grey cause I right clicked on It(Thanks, The CTRL click key left mouse click worked on this), That selected line will not go back to the color I'd chosen for It, Unless I quit out of BT and then restart BT. Is this clearer now?

Some thing can't work when you leave out certain columns, computers is one of them.
Extra->BoincTasks settings->projects and check computers -> Apply
You should get a warning when you uncheck the computer and press apply.
Some columns are needed.
