Fixed: The history files where unnecessary large, due to the repeating of the computer name in the file.

Don't know if others have experienced this but on upgrading to 1.05 and looking in the history, all but the last 24 hours was gone for local and remote hosts. Checking BT settings, the days were still on 365 to keep. After, the history held all new results not wiping the > 24 hours.

Can you check:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\eFMer\BoincTasks\history

And see if there are any other .cvs file there, older that you are running right now.

Another option may be that the files where somehow locked and inaccessible to BT.

hmmm, well during the install there was again a second copy of BT running, hidden under admin, though it's not running as admin since you advised on that. All .cvs files are/were of the same date/timestamp when I looked this morning, in hopes of recouping an old copy of hist... they were all of today, nearly same timestamp.

Maybe the installer could check if any copy is running... it did on the front user level copy, so it was exited then rerun and then the rerun hung on a warning that some other process was holding a file... that second running BT :(

The Silently Restart on Crash is not selected, so cant understand why often I find there's 2 boinctasks.exe loaded.

The installer checks if a copy of BT is running and won't install.

But it's possible to start another copy as another user.
So you could start one as Administrator at startup and another one as a regular user.

The mutex doesn't prevent this, but should not be a problem, as the history is stored for each user.
But when you manually override, both users may point to the same folder.

Deep scan, there's only the BT history folder/files for "me", so yes, probably both instances, ''admin'' and ''me'' seem to point to the same history as do the settings of course, which are set to 365 days.

I've been using the latest stable ver (1.0) for the last few days after being a long time BV user and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed Fred, well done!

I like the notices tab, although I realise that the boinc devs are responsible for this, but managing multiple boxes I don't use the BM so I hadn't seen it before.

I'll certainly be spruiking your work in the forums, particularly to those that are mourning the loss of messages tab in the BM.

Once again, well done and thanks for your efforts.

I've tried, Twice Fred, the files are 132MB in size, even when zipped their about 35MB in size, So Thunderbird won't allow the size of Your files which is above a 7MB limit. I checked My isp and the size isn't a problem with them, I turned off Avast and I still had a problem, So that leaves Thunderbird and I see no way to get TB to change in this regard and so I left a message on the Mozilla/Thunderbird forums. As to My firewall, I don't think Windows really cares.

Ok Fred, I'll wait, I tried 7zip to reduce the file size some more and I got the file down to 23.7MB from 132MB, My ISP had no problem, Yours choked, er said Too Big. Oh and I used Yer email addy after some editing of course.
