Boinc hogging cpu, failure to contact projects, wu's reported downloaded from project but not showing up in cache. Boinc 4.43, E@H 4.81, S@H 4.02 on Mandriva 2005LE and 10.1 systems, all patches and updates applied. Time share 50/50 between E@H and S@H. PIII and AMD platforms. All above problems appeared when S@H was unreachable for an extended period about a week ago. All issues have cleared now that S@H is back up. It appears Boinc 4.43 has issues when a project cannot be accessed for an extended period. Updating the E@H project, I used Kboincspy, seems to have temporariliy cleared the problem. Using the 4.72 test client is reported to fix the issue. Odd CPU behavior: TOP PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 5209 me 25 0 6656 1964 1176 R 79.0 1.6 399:53.45 boinc 5215 me 34 19 18132 4268 1288 S 4.0 3.4 759:03.52 einstein_4.81_i PS AUX me 5209 36.3 1.5 8576 1908 ?
