System: 2.66 x4 processors 9 GB Ram Under version 5.X boinc uses all four processors. I have tried many of the 6.x version but none of them will run all 4 processors. Any suggestions? If you need any other information about the system, projects, software, let me know and I will post the information. If this is a known bug, then I will continue to use version 5. Thanks, Jim |

There was a change to the way that "number of processors" is defined in version 6, due to the increasing number of cores per cpu. If you look at your Computing preferences in your project account, you'll see an additional setting for version 6, which uses percentages. There's also a setting for this in your BOINC manager, under menu > Advanced > Preferences > processor usage 100% uses all processors. |

Thanks, for all your help :) It turned out to be the local settings. Thanks, Jim |
