I'm trying to get back to running boinc on my mac (10.5.7) and have tried installing the latest version of boinc (6.6.36).

The install process works fine BUT when I try to run the app, it looks like it's about to start and then just dies. I mean I'm happy to contribute but I somehow don't think the idea was for me to watch a bouncy little icon fade OVER & OVER.

Help please. I've read through a lot of the support forums here but can't seem to get a reasonable answer.

I run Boinc 6.6.36 on my 10.5.7 Mac Mini (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz 2007 version) without any problems. Perhaps the file was corrupted? try to redownload and reinstall, see if that helps. it could also be a permissions problem, in which case you would want to go to applications>utilities>disk utility.

In disk utility, select the main HDD and hit "Repair Disk Permissions"
