I know Folding@home supports ATI GPUs. But it's not BOINC-based project. IS any BOINC project with ATI GPU science apps available? |

collatz conjecture http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/ Seems like they not too like third party apps: " Project Down Due to Unauthorized Applications July 12, 2009, 10:59 CST Due to at least one unauthorized application being run, the work generator has been shut down. It will not be turned back on until the validator has been changed to ensure fully tested applications are being run and I checked previously returned results to double check their validity. " |

It looks like ATI GPU support for the BOINC software isn't coming until version 6.10.X see roadmap here So projects who are must be using their own work arounds to distribute to ATI GPU's. GridRepublic - bringing BOINC mainstream: http://www.gridrepublic.org |

It looks like ATI GPU support for the BOINC software isn't coming until version 6.10.X see roadmap here Yeah.. if you rely on berkeley then you gotta wait till 6.10.xx Good for us is that boinc is open source and you don't have to wait that long since i already got the ATI CAL support integrated into boinc. We're running some test of the CAL enabled boinc client on the Collatz Conjecture project. If all goes well, i'll release a public version of the boinc client and will submit the source to berkeley if they are interested... |

Please post the source code to boinc_dev@ssl.berkeley.edu, or to me (davea at ssl.berkeley.edu) -- David |
