First post, so I'm unsure if this is a "proper" topic for this section (or even this whole forum). Though I realize that there are far more important projects that need cycles and members, it would be interesting to solve this math problem once and for all. Of course, there are assumptions: * English language and letter distribution (at least at first). * Must be words from the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary. * Fifty bonus points awarded for clearing a rack (a "bingo"). * Single player with all tiles available (which should be functionally equivalent to n players receiving tiles in ideal order to maximize the total score amongst all players). How would something like this get started? Propose the coding for the project on some open-source project site, then list the project with BOINC? |
