Multi boot VISTA/Win7

CUDA found with VISTA not found with Win7

Is this the correct place to ask Win7 questions?
If not where?
If so ... any ideas?

I gave up on my 295 card seeing only 1/2 of it and switched to XP Prof, without any problems. I wait for the new drivers... And I heard a lot of other users who switched back to XP.

@Ageless ... see below:
@Fred ... I have passed the point of no return with Win7. I will NOT go back to VISTA. Win7 is what Vista should have been.

<EDIT>
Tthrottle and SpeedFan both find the card

6/6/2009 11:35:50 AM Running as a daemon

That could be the problem (at least it was with vista).

Running as a daemon = Service = Protected Application.

To use CUDA you can't install in protected mode on Vista or Win7. At least until a work around is figured out.

What the Hay? ... just reinstalled BOINC 6.6.31 and it installed a service. There was no option presented ... just did it!

Thanks all.

<EDIT>
The problem was running underprivileged accounts option.

The verbage doesn't mention running as a Service but that is what it does.
I reinstalled unchecked the box and am now back in the CUDA business

Thanks.

There is an option presented, in the third screen of the installer, click Advanced, then take the check off of the Protected application execution option with the specific warning underneath it for Vista and above not to use it when you want to run CUDA.
