Often when the Boinc program is running and I move the mouse to exit the program, the image of whatever was previously on screen will remain on screen and will not go away. The computer remains functional, for example I can play previously opened quicktime movies while the screen is filled with the Boinc images, however I can't see the video. Has anybody else encountered this problem and is there a fix? I'm afraid if I have to continue restarting my computer to exit Boinc every time, I will have to uninstall it. Thanks for your help.

What project? Is it using CUDA application? Which version of Boinc? What kind of system? Which operating system?

One simplistic approach would be not to enable the screensaver if it doesn't work properly.

(BOINC in fact works faster without screensaver)

Einstein@home. Boinc version 6.4.5 IBM tower (pretty old) Windows XP Pro. And I don't know about CUDA.

And referring to shutting off the screen saver, how can I do that? Thanks for your patience. I am here to support your network.

Right click on your desktop, properties, screen saver, select "black screen" or none, or any but "BOINC".
