Boinc Manager shows a new version 6.4.7 to download but all I can't get from Berkeley is a blank page.
Yes, this link http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php
doesn't work here in Brazil. Any browser just shows a blank page, in any host, in any location.
So, yesterday, I've tried a web based anonymous proxy and... yes... It works.
I'm thinking if, on Berkeley side, there's a Proxy/Firewall rule blocking IP range from Brazil or even South America area??? If so, why?

I'd give this post a bit of time. Boinc forums are a bit more glacial than most forums. They'll get you an answer just give it time

I recently read this message over at the Einstein forum. It describes the reason for other symptoms, but perhaps... (I'm no network guru :-)

I have the same problem too! On all computers (3), with all the browsers (IE and Firefox), even with a proxy!! I can't download the new versions of BOINC!!! What's happening?

Your ISP is censoring you, perhaps?

I'm sure that I'm not behind a proxy. We can't access just the home page and the downloads page. All the rest is accessible, like the forum (obviously), the direct download section, http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/ If it would be a ip range block this won't be accessible... I can't access those two pages even with a anonymizer. This is definitely strange!

The BOINC home page seems to be empty - no HTML 'body'.

But the download page seems to be present and working.

I've tried several anonymous proxies after that problem with no lucky, but then, this one worked very well:

Go to the link above, copy the URL you wanna go, and paste to "Enter the URL Address: " box than click "Surf Now" at right. As I said before, it worked here.

I really don't know if Berkeley is still blocking Brazil IP range because just right now I'm running pfSense Firewall with a Proxy on a dedicated machine and the access to the download page is working to me.
