Also estimated credit are all 0.0. As shown in this image all the "blank" host cells in the first column belong the the jys2x275 system. Note also the credits are all 0.0

I installed over 6.6.9 which did not have any problem showing the hostname nor calculating estimated credits. Everying else works. ie: If I select the empty spaces and then click the BV "update" button, the system jys2x275 does an update for all projects. All these systems are on the same subnet at work so I would think the hostnames would be found. Note the message in the "status" that says "Initiating computer jys2x275" so it has the hostname (or computer name?) Something seems broken.

No problem here with 6.6.12. How does the list of devices in left margin compare to the devices listed next to the projects? Seeing one attached but not associated with any.

Yea - that is the problem exactly: All the blank cells should have jys2x275 in them and they did up until yesterday when I upgrade to 6.6.12

Something strange is happening. Will have to check it tomorrow at work. Maybe the netbios name lookup is broke. If I enable the "Computer" column the jys2x275 shows up, but all that proves is that I spelled it correctly when I set up the computer association in BV. The linux systems dont use netbios so that leaves me at a loss why they are even showing up under host. Since this is windows maybe a reboot on both systems (BV and client) will fix it.

Just tried all and find that if I click the specific 6.6.12 device (XP) in the computer list when in the hosts view, it comes up blank. The 6.6.10 clients it lists fine. BOINCview 1.4.2. In the Projects view definitely correct for all projects and hosts.

What about the estimated credits? Are you seeing all 0.0 for the blank hosts?

Unless I mis-read your post, you are seeing blank hostnames for only the 6.6.12 systems correct?

I think some (but not all) BoincView bugs are eliminated either in BOINC v6.6.14, or in postfixes which should appear in v6.6.15

My remaining problem with BV (not yet reported to boinc_alpha, but will do) is inaccurate reporting of 'To completion' times for tasks which haven't started running yet - once they start, the remaining 'To completion' time is accurate, for both CPU and CUDA work. This relates to SETI running with CUDA, app_info.xml, optimised applications, etc. etc. - other projects are shown accurately, as before.

In BB's screenshot, I expect the est. credits are shown as 0.00 because BV hasn't been able to get a speed (benchmark) figure for the host either. BV only calculates an estimated credit for the old (deprecated) benchmark*time credit system: always interesting to see how far that varies from other credit award schemas!

I reported to the Boinc_alpha mailing list about the hosts details not showing up in BoincView 1.4.2 with Boinc 6.6.12,
and they've fixed it for Boinc 6.6.14, see BOINC 6 Versions Change Log
