Is there a limit on the number of projects that this page can handle per user? I seem to not be credited with work done for Sztaki Desktop Grid, but other users are credited with work for that project. I figured maybe 9 projects is the limit? Or maybe it's because I was not doing work for Sztaki for a time until they upgraded to BOINC 5.x? ![]() |

Definitely something wrong, it shows PoorBoy with Rosetta and PrimeGrid only, and I know he has many more projects than that... |

Depends, he only works one or two projects at a time. This is XML gathered by UCB for display. So, the data is not going to be comprehensive. I doubt that I show pirates data either. I am also not sure how they are synchreonizing, but if using the cross project ID that also has to be the same across all projects. |

Well, I know that my CPID's are in sync, since everything shows properly at BOINCstats, for example. ![]() |

Hi, this thread is send from above - i was just wondering - my CPIDs are NOT in sync, are there different methods for computation in different versions of the boinc Webinterface? e.g. Seti and LHC agree, the other fraction is predictor, einstein and rosetta... ah - and now a third fraction: SIMAP Anybody got a hint for me? -Jonathan not having done reseach on this subject, but about to begin |

my CPIDs are NOT in sync To get them in sync, you must have at least one computer that has all projects attached, OR, a "path" through multiple computers that will (eventually) get them to sync. Example: SETI and Einstein on PC "A", SETI and Rosetta on PC "B", Rosetta and LHC on PC "C". Then the path exists from SETI to LHC by going "through" Rosetta. If you have SETI on one computer and Einstein on another and Rosetta on a third, they'll never sync. In rare cases, they'll not sync via the "path" method, instead you'll wind up with two CPIDs that keep "alternating" - in that case, you have to pick one and then edit xml files to "force" that one to be the only one in effect. |

Well, I just noticed something that solves my original question: Last modified 8:15 AM UTC, December 06 2005 This is at the top of the page. Since Sztaki was just getting going on BOINC 5.x at that time, that explains why I have no RAC for Sztaki. Sorry for the uproar. -Dave ![]() |

Thanks for your instant answer - Is it just me, or are this methods somewhat cumbersome? Oh well, i have two Computers being attached to all mentioned projects, so i guess i'll wait and see.... But as to where this different hashes come from, any idea? (I'm positive they're linked to the email, but method changend in versions?) -Jonathan |

so i guess i'll wait and see.... If you want to accelerate the process, here's how: Disable network access for all your computers. Go to each project's website and write down the CPID. On one of your computers with all projects attached, enable network access, then hit "update" for each project in turn, waiting for the "communications deferred" message (or blank). Repeat. Then check the websites and all the project's CPIDs _should_ be in sync. Make a note of which one "won" the battle, based on your original list. (Should be the first one you joined, I believe.) Go to the other computer(s), enable net access, and hit "update" for that "winning" project. Then hit "update" for all the other projects. This should clear all trace of any other CPIDs from your computers, and you should stay in sync from here on out. If at this point they do _not_ all match, you're going to have to edit xml files. Post back here for instructions. EDIT:: Grenadier, sorry for the thread being hijacked... this _is_ related... :-) |

EDIT:: Grenadier, sorry for the thread being hijacked... this _is_ related... :-) No problem. Glad it could help someone else, and yes, it is a related topic. ![]() |
