Yea - the MilkyWay "problem" was discussed two months ago here They (milky project admin) actually did something about it - they actually optimized the "main" app so that it produced the same number of points per second as the "secret" one that was being passed around between crunch buddies. I stopped complaining when my quad core finally started producing more points than a 366mhz celeron.
I cannot use my son's PS3 to crunch because he complains it overheats and he paid for it.

Yea, Milkyway really gives too much credits...
But you can't compare PS3GRID/GPUGRID with them! They make use of the PS3's Cell BE processor and Nvidia GPUs which are faster than a normal CPU, and give credits based on FLOPS counting...
