Somehow it appears that I've got two BOINC accounts, with the same name but different IDs. One appears to be from when I joined BOINC (before SETI crossed over) and the other when SETI made the move. Is it possible to merge the two (ideally combining the stats, keeping the oldest date as the start date etc) so I don't end up with this situation Thanks! Random Thoughts |

No, merging of accounts is not possible. You have to choose one to continue with. |

Somehow it appears that I've got two BOINC accounts, with the same name but different IDs. No, I don't think there is a way of merging accounts. Your email address is your unique identifier on a project. There may be individual projects that allow combining accounts, but generally it isn't allowed. From the link you provided it would appear that you may have 3 project that have duplicate accounts - CPDN, Einstein and Rosetta. You would need to ask at the individual projects. I think I read somewhere that CPDN may allow it. I would check into this first. You may have to end up choosing which accounts you wish to continue using and make sure your computers are attached to that account. To unify your stats you will need to ensure that all your projects account are using the same email and username. Also, to unify everything under one BOINC CPID (Cross Project ID) you will need to have at least one project in common on all your computers for the stat sites to use the new CPID. This will probably take several weeks to become stable and a project needs to be active to use the new CPID. Boinc V 7.4.36 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB NVidia 470 |

thanks all. I'm pretty sure the accounts with the old email address as key are no longer that active (don't think there are any machines not connected via BAM) would have liked to consolidate the credits, but I guess that's not really a high priority thing for the infrastructure ;( Will try some manual tidying up Random Thoughts |
