What about make a holidays function ?
You say how long you will be away, and when you will have an internet connection. So Boinc download WU for this days, and report them when you have internet. But the WU that Boinc download have an enough long deadline, in order to although give you credits.

The functionality is there, it is just named "Connect every...". Set it to "how long you will be away".

Maybe do it enough hours/days in advance, so the client has enough time to crunch and report existing tasks from cache, which deadline is sooner than "when you will have internet".

It is up to the project not to deliver tasks, which deadline will be sooner than "when you will have internet". Not every project obeys this, but vast majority of them do.
