Hello all, My boinc install is generating large volumes of failures in my windows security log. here is the audit log (some info redacted): Privileged Service Called: Server: Security Service: - Primary User Name: boinc_master Primary Domain: XXXXXXX Primary Logon ID: (0x0,0xXXXXX) Client User Name: - Client Domain: - Client Logon ID: - Privileges: SeRestorePrivilege Anyone have any ideas how to either grant the needed privilege, or to otherwise shut boinc up (preferably without disabling privilege use auditing)? Thanks, Franklin |

In the control panel there is an applet called "Administrative Tools". Within the admin tools applet there is another applet called "Local Security Policy". In the "Local Policy" tree item there is a sub-tree called "User Rights Assignment" grant boinc_master the 'Backup Files and Directories' user right. ----- Rom BOINC Development Team, U.C.
