Running Vista and when I install I get "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BOINC.msi' in the box below. Use source: C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations\{9450D5A1-7EBC-43FE-9C96-B862E2D4D1BA}\ No avail. Any help? Thanks in advance! :) |

Running Vista and when I install I get I don't think this is a problem with v6.2.19 per se (though I haven't tried it, so I might be wrong). More likely, it's referring to the installation package for the version of BOINC you're currently running: it needs access to that, because that's where the information about what needs to be uninstalled is kept. Try re-running the previous installer first, and choose 'repair': after that, the new installer should work. If that doesn't work, try using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility |

Running Vista and when I install I get Wish I had the previous installer. I tried downloading the utility and it supposedly installed. When I click the icon on the desktop, it just uninstalls it. |

Wish I had the previous installer. Look at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D for all older downloads. I tried downloading the utility and it supposedly installed. When I click the icon on the desktop, it just uninstalls it. Once installed you can reach the utility from Start->Programs. |

Wish I had the previous installer. I had the original problem and to get around it I had to be in administrative mode. Once there it downloaded and installed without error. |
