Hi

I have BOINC 6.2.18 on my laptop (Win XP Pro SP3).

Last night and this afternoon, the service terminated unexpectedly, and I need to restart BOINC manager to restart the service.

Here is the error log

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7034
Date: 26/09/2008
Time: 6:37:52 PM
User: N/A
Computer: UNI-3A11753EFB6
Description:
The BOINC service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s).

I also found that whenever BOINC service starts, there will be two log in system log.

First one:

You also get this error when you kill the service by killing boinc.exe in Task Manager. Are you sure that didn't happen?

You can go to the services applet (start->run->services.msc->OK), find BOINC, right click it, properties, Recovery. On first, second and following errors, set it to restart the service. OK out.

The other two messages are informational and benign.

No, I never kill boinc.exe in Task Manager, it terminiated itself.
