Any more news about Cosmology@Home and Cell@Home ?

Cosmology will take at least another week.

And do you have news from Cels@Home ?

I sent an email to Dr Zaman to know if the project will continue or not, but he didn't respond.

I suppose he received lots of emails, but as the forum and the website are down, we have no news about this project.

It appears to be defunct.

Seti@Home's troubles continue. For the next week the only work available is Astropulse. From Matt lebofsky's Tech News post:

"Long story short, don't expect SETI@home to be generating any new work or assimilating anything for a week (unless we're lucky). We'll at least try to keep Astropulse working during this time, so computers that can run Astropulse will be kept busy."

Einstein@Home seems to have some sort of problem, seeing that their complete site is down. I have emailed their admins to ask for an explanation. Will wait for a response or see what the explanation is when they return.

Oh, that's quick. Already got an answer from David Hammer:

We are having some filesystem problems.

I might have it running again in a few hours if all goes well but I don't know if a simple fsck is going to fix the problem yet.

No I was not jealous. ;)

The jealousy comment is a play on Matt Lebofsky's comment on:
"Funny thing: Oliver and Bernd of Einstein@home have been visiting from Germany, collaborating with Dave on some general BOINC stuff. They left just a couple hours ago, but we did discuss how when SETI@home is having issues such as this, Einstein@home certainly gets a huge "bump" from the suddenly influx of free CPU time. We joked how the these thumper issues strangely coincided with their arrival last week."

I asked if they were jealous and followed Seti's DB problems. ;-)

i got some cuda's from seti the other day, and this morning i got a astropulse so that's not to bad. the astro est. is 150+ hrs.

Milyway@home is offline. site is down and my file was in the middle of a upload when it decided to go (blank).

Einstein@Home is down due to a fileserver crash. We are working to bring the project back online ASAP.

Milkyway update

Milkyway has returned. I'll update this post with whatever news Travis has to offer once he posts it.

it keeps trying to send files but i get the message Project File upload handler is missing backing off 23 min 39 seconds

is the message because the server for Milkway and einstein is down or is it a faulty file which will never be uploaded because of the upload handler being missing.
I got so fed up I aborted 10 milkway files which had run for 15 hours and have a 6 hour einstein which I am tempted to do the same with and to detach from both projects.

Did you read the messages about Einstein and Milkyway? They start five slots above your post.

I got so fed up I aborted 10 milkway files which had run for 15 hours and have a 6 hour einstein which I am tempted to do the same with and to detach from both projects.

If you abort the tasks, your computing time is wasted. If you are patient until the hardware problems at the servers are resolved (it's weekend!!!) then you'll get your credits eventually.

The filesystem problems were worse than originally thought and repairs have taken significantly longer. Hopefully E@H will start to come online again by 17:00 Monday UTC but if that does not happen more news will be posted here at that time.

CPDN main project

Milo has said 'On Friday the 3rd of April there will be some maintenance in the OUCS server room where our main servers are kept. It will be necessary to shut them down for a while, hopefully no more than 1-2 hours, starting at around 9am on that day.'
