When running boincmgr in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 with a 1024(height) x 1280(width) monitor, the size of the type is too large to get the fields on the screen even when the window is the full width of the screen. This was not the case with 5.10.45 or even 6.2.11. Of course those used an older version of boincmgr. Can you either make the type size smaller, or provide a way for the user to control it? Also, though less important, the little window at the bottom right just says "Connected" instead of "Connected to localhost (6.2.14) as the old boincmgr did. It did it this way for a moment once. |

I figured out how to do it, by going to "Start"->System->Preferences->Fonts, but this is not really satisfactory because when I pick a condensed font, it does it for almost all applications, and they are then very difficult to read. |

Changing the font is the wrong way to solve your problem. Adjust the width of the fields instead. You can adjust the width of the fields by grabbing the right side of the field box with the mouse. Slide the side left to shrink the field. Slide right to expand the field. No help. My window is all the way across the 1280 pixels of the monitor, so I cannot anywhere near get all the fields in if I make them all wide enough to get everything in. As it is, I set the Name field much too small, and the Application field somewhat too small. Also, the Status field is not really wide enough. It worked a lot better with the version that came before, that I used with 5.10.45 (though the boincmgr came with an earlier release). I am currently using LucidaTypewriter Sans 9, but that is too big for boincmgr and a little hard to read. I would normally use Sans 10, though I actually prefer URW Gothic L. |
