Is it just me? When I add a post to many of the sites I get a seeming "lock-up" where I have to wait for up to several minutes before I can get back into the board. For example, I make a post, click Ok, then, I get the activity indicator. Most of the time I can only get back to the board and list of messages by waiting several minutes, then going to the main page and drilling down again. This has become more common with the later releases of the server side software. And, I am not sure what is causing this. Are we having a problem with the MySQL not releasing a link? Anyway, is it just me? I have tried both FireFox (my standard browser) and now Safari with both getting the same results ... |

Anyway, is it just me? Not just you. SOMETIMES, but not always, when I answer a message, it just "sits". I usually just switch to another tab and keep going. If by the time I come back it's still waiting, I check the main page to see if my answer is there - if so, I can just close the hung tab. |

Ah, ok, well, then it is not just me ... Maybe it is only us OS-X users though ... :) |

Ah, ok, well, then it is not just me ... No, Paul, the website is non-discriminatory. I occasionally get the same behavior from my Win box, whether on Firefox or Opera. Regards, Michael (edit) Seems to be worst for long threads, especially if they have many sigs or graphics included. Guess we'd expect that. "The arc of history is long, but it bends toward Justice" |

Ok, I was wondering if it was just me. :) Worse, for someone like me, I can be locked out for up to 5-10 minutes. I will test multiple browsers when one "hangs" (I have IE Mac, Opera, Safari, Firefox, Netscape available to me ... :)). It seems to have gotten more prevelant with later versions of the server software ... or maybe it is just system load ... though I have seen it on projects where I would not expect that high of a load. Sigh ... |
