Is it at all possible to do a silent install that will not be deployed across a domain? All my searches turn up dead links or deployment over a local network with group policy. This is not what I am looking to do.

What I am trying to achieve is to locally Install BOINC using the service option that runs under the "SYSTEM" account and connects to SETI with no user Interaction what so ever. During installation and to begin crunching

I have a thumb drive with my commonly used apps that all have the ability to silently install programs where the only thing I do is launch the installer then I never need to touch a thing, it is all done behind the scenes. I also use these same installers with their respective switches and or scripts on a unattended XP installation CD.

I have every part of this already created and working flawlessly but the BOINC/SETI installation.

Is this at all possible with BOINC and SETI and if so does any one know how I could go about doing this?

You should be able to do this with a service install. You will need administrator rights.

Remember you must have permission from the owner of the computer to install BOINC. More than one person has been fired for installing on work computers.

I do appreciate the reply although just saying that I should be able to do this with a service install is something I already guessed, I just do not know how.

Of course I have permission. I am the owner/admin of the computer(s)

Just making sure, but this isn't what you need: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Deploying_BOINC_on_networks ?
