1. Which project(s). Rosetta, QMC, SETI, Malaria, etc, 12 projects in all. 2. What kind of install did you use? Protected or not protected? I do not understand the question, excuse me, my English is very bad. 3. Which Windows? Vista SP1 Ultimate in French. @+ *_* |

After install in protect mode, impossible to display graphics. OK, for protected mode the projects need to release new science applications, with the graphics application being a separate application. For pre-6 compliancy, the science application had the graphics application built in. These won't work on BOINC 6 when installed as a protected install (service). The only projects presently showing BOINC 6 compliant graphics are Einstein and WCG. When you install BOINC as not protected, it will not install as a service. In this mode it should show graphics of older applications as well. So the question is, do you have the trouble closing the graphics windows in this latter mode? |

Ah, I see. It's with that second (black) window. This may be fixed by QMC (and whichever other project it happens on) rebuilding their graphics application against the latest graphics API. But in the mean time I'll report it to the developers anyway. Thanks. |
