Hello,
i saw that in a log:
"client: for CUDA, don't confuse coproc.name ("CUDA") from coproc.prop.name (e.g., "Device Emulation (CPU)" on my PC, which doesn't have a recent-enough gpu)"

What's mean ?

if i have a good GPU Nvidia not very old, like 7xxx or 8xxx or quadro or CUDA, i can use power of my GPU for computing in BOINC in parallel of my CPU ?

No, because there isn't any project that uses GPUs.

OK, but why to write GPU and CUDA ?!

CUDA is a GPU specificly created for paralleling computing, and "NVIDIA CUDA™ Technology is the world’s only C language environment that provides access to processing power of NVIDIA GPUs. It enables developers to utilize NVIDIA GPUs to solve the most complex computation-intensive challenges such as oil and gas exploration, financial risk management, product design, medical imaging, and scientific research"

i don't understand all :-(

From you 1st post:
WHICH log file had this message?
Were you trying to run a specific program/project when you got the message?

Regarding your 2nd post:
Just because some company creates a "wonderful new piece of computer hardware", it doesn't mean that the science applications currently using BOINC will automatically run on it. The projects all need to re-write their applications to use the software that goes with the new hardware, in this case the CUDA. Which means having a CUDA, people who know the software, and time to write it.
They also need to justify the costs to their administrators. In most cases they just won't bother.

Ah, right. Thanks.
I thought it was in something from the OP's computer.

In that case, including it in version 6 is just future proofing.
