My main desktop computer (Vista Home) connects and downloads without any problems, but I am trying to get my laptop (XP Home) to also run Boinc but have so far been unable too... Don't disable the firewall, that's about as inviting as having no doors and windows in your house. Just allow BOINC through your Windows firewall. How do you connect that laptop to the internet, directly, through a router or Windows internet sharing? Can it get onto the internet by itself? ID: 16957 ·

It connects via a wireless connection, I only tried it without the firewall etc just to see if that would cure it, but once I noticed it hadn't it went back on...:D ID: 16958 ·
