I have gotten the opputunity to brand a Miro player http://www.getmiro.com. And so BoincPlayer has been born :) It comes with a selection of science channels, and you can of course add/remove what ever you would like from the list. Miro has over 4,000 channels in their channel guide all free, and many in High def. :) I have made the download availeble on my bittorrent tracker at http://tuxtrack.org:8080 There is both a Windows and a Mac version so far. I plan on making a new release about every 14days, with more handpicked channels as default, and possible a newer version of Miro if it has been released. If anyone would like to suggest a channel for the BoincPlayer, please email me at hivedrone@gmail.com, with "BoincPlayer - Suggestion" in the subject. |

And Linux too! I'll have to take a look at it. There are instructions on the site for the *buntu users. I just checked yum and it's in the Fedora 7 repository. Kathryn :o) |

Yep there is a Linux version too :) But at the time of writing my post there was no way to get a (free) branded version for Linux :) But that might of course have changed :) I have by the way gotten the domain boincplayer.org, and my hopes is at some point to be able to pay the people at Miro for a branded version for Boinc, to make it more Boinc oriented :) |

Actually have a website to show now, although it is in its early stages. It can be found at BoincPlayer.org Very welcome to sign up on the msg. Board, or even download the BoincPlayer :) (Made a new release with the new front page for the player) |
