Hiya,

Having used seti@home in the past im new to BOINC and as i just got a fast machine i would like to do some number crunching :)

Problem is i am really not comfortable with leaving my machine on 100% cpu for prolonged periods of time because im not sure i trust the cooling yet. I dont want to wake up to find a dead computer or shortedn its life span by running it hot.

Is there any way, either in the BOINC manager or in windows itself, of limiting a process to for example, 75% maximum?

I believe threadmaster is what you want May be something here, Boinc addons and plugins
