1. Set Manager to snooze 2. Exit 3. Restart Manager Resource shares reset to a setting from November (the last time I set general preferences). All project "account" XML files show the correct resource share as currently set (through BAM). Is this a problem with the Manager? Are there any other locations which set resource share for the Manager besides the "account" XML files? edit - I forgot to mention that this is only occurring on one client. The other client reports the shares as set. That's why I'm perplexed. |

Ok, let's recap this. You set the resource shares in November through the web-sites. Then later on you set them through BOINC Account Manager. If you exit BOINC, then restart it, the resource shares of the past are used. Until you sync with BAM, then the resource shares set through BAM are used. Am I correct this far? Sounds like it's working as supposed to. Also read http://boincstats.com/page/faq.php?pr=bam#50, which may be the answer to your problem. |

Hmmmm, not quite I set general preferences, not specific preferences, at WCG in November and are probably unimportant to the problem. I mention it as a possible problem source. I set resource shares through BAM. I recently changed resource shares through BAM and resynched, but after exiting the Manager and restarting it resets to the old shares. Thinking that it might be a BAM problem (I seem to recall the first time this issue came up), I went to each and every site and manually updated the specific preferences. Well, I wanted to, but most if not all had already updated. Using the update button in the Manager retrieves the new shares, but after exiting and restarting it returns to the incorrect shares. This is only occurring on a single client. As mentioned, I checked the account XML files associated with each project and the shares were listed correctly in those. |

Forget it. I found what I was looking for in the client state under "resource" and "ams-resource." Looks like the problem was with the ams-resource not updating. Done manually and is now fixed. |

EDIT!: go into bam go to host list and change the resource share there too then sync with bam from the boinc manager |
