I'm switching over some boxes from windoze to linux (opensuse 10.3). I like running boincmgr in the advanced, 'grid' view. I can't find any options to select or configure to have it always start in 'grid' view. Also, under the 'Advanced' tab, 'General' options when I change the 'reminder frequency' slider up to the max 120, it is never remembered when I shut down and restart the manager. I'm starting the manager from a simple bash script very similar to the the one that comes with the linux 5.10.28 version of BOINC. Is there a way to configure these settings so they are saved in my home directory when boincmgr starts? Thank you all. /Mike |

See if you have a "~/.BOINC Manager" (yes, the filename has a space - horror!) I remember somebody had trouble with it before, and turns out it was corrupted. Deleting it solved the problem (since on next run, boincmgr recreated it). |

See if you have a "~/.BOINC Manager" (yes, the filename has a space - horror!) Thanks, Nicolas. Any help is appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have a ~/.BOINC Manager config file so I couldn't try it out. Everytime I restart I still have to change those options if I want them different - they are not saved like in the windoze manager client. I'm still very happy running BOINC under linux! regards, /Mike |
