I looked at the BOINKstats web site and I can not figure out what it is. Can anyone tell me? Is it more than just another team. I mean, I see all of the data there, but is that just the combined data of a team called BOINCstats?

I tried to find a way to ask this question there on that site and could not find a way in.

Thanks,

It's a third party stats site. Willy (the creator and webmaster) is also the founder of the BOINC Stats team. You can find a ton of information about how your computer(s) is/are performing relative to the world, your country, your team and probably a few more. Basically it's a one stop shop for all your stats needs. Willy also has stat boxes you can use in forum signatures and other places across the great vast plains of the internet.

There are forums over there, but I believe you have to register for an account.

On the left, there is an entry line labelled Search. Put your user name in that and then click the Search button underneath.
If this gives you a list of several people, you'll need to work out which one is you. Then click the tiny blue 'graph' icon on the right. (If you hover your mouse pointer over it, it says: Detailed stats.)

Well, I took a few seconds to follow your directions, and Lord love a duck, that is just the cat's pajamas. Thanks so much!! The results on me as a user are totally not accurate, showing me as on only one project, I am on about six over four computers with the same user id and team, and part of a team I left; but when I check my new team, the results are very accurate (which shows me the innaccuracy of my own results). This is as they say today, way cool.

Thanks so much.

http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_host_stats.php?pr=bo&st=0&userid=db9cfeccc57a5f550c85849a5cc8f9c6

Seems all to be pretty complete or?

You know, I participate in a number of on-line communities and forums. The BOINC and WCG combined phalanx is the most enriching and rewarding of all. It's certainly based upon the work; but it goes so far beyond the work, especially to the caring of you really intrepid folks for the likes of us simple crunchers. I can not say enough good things.

The user stats are not accurate. They have me on one project, I am on about six. Also, I formed a new team, HPCTC-CAE for my orgazization, so I had to leave my former team, Spread Firefox which shows on that link.

The stats for my team, HPCTC-CAE are fine.

My current team is me and one other guy. But we are having an open house for the whole organization. We live in a town which demographically should have a lot of people attracted to this work. We have a major research university, and two major pharmaceutical manufacturers with research and production facitities employing a great percentage of the populace. So we hope to attract a core of folks who might already be doing this work and can help us attract others.

I don't know why I could not find on me what you found, I had good directions, I just could not get there. So, I am going to keep the link.

Many thanks.

Now I see what you did, you entered my name not my user id. I'm just going to confirm that on another PC.... Yep, that's the ticket, all of my projects, just the wrong team.

Thanks again.

I've never tried on BOINCstats to list someone's personal stats against all the teams s/he ever was a member off, but on your "My Grid" page of WCG, you certainly can see against which teams points were ever earned in the "Team History and Statistics" section. The BS summary page seems to pick up the team of the project first to appear in any project listed, so in your case, the team recorded at CPDN.

I see what you mean. And that project has two tasks running, one on each of my dual core machines, tasks that started when I was on that team Spread Firefox. The least used machine of the two has a task with 260 hours to completion, a deadline 11/18/2008. That machine runs about 132 hours per week, four tasks alternating on the two cores, so 33 hours a week for that task, 260 hours to go= less than 8 weeks. No sweat. The task on the other machine has a little less.

Digital irony.

Thanks for everything.
