Yeah, I had a 24 hour deferral on an upload earlier. Managed to get that one through by a forced upload & report. But you're right, their pages throw a Page load error here.

CPDN main project

Upload server uploadcomlab was down from late on Saturday but is now fixed. This will have affected trickles from some but not all computers.

Magnetism@Home has been in a crashed position for 24 hours now. Let's see when it comes back.

Milkyway@Home is back, although a bit flimsy. It still drops connections.

Nope, it's gone again. Pages won't load at all.

Yes, I've the same problem and now the days are two.
Also the home page is down, so there isn't any kind of info.
How is possible know the problem and if the project will be down definitively (so we can clear the WU queue) ?

Hello,

I couldn't upload Cosmology@home yesterday, even after checking the server status, which showed everything running. I waited, and tried again later- no go. Today I get:

11/07/2008 8:19:07 AM|Cosmology@Home|[error] Error on file upload: can't open log file

...and can't access the Cosmology home page either.

Best-o-luck!

Cosmology@Home has problems with its hardware, they have taken off the scheduler for a while to allow the validator to catch up. The forums are available, though they load extremely slowly: for me I have an error along the lines of "The server is taking too long to load" 6 out of 10 times.

the problem wth ABC@home is DNS issues. for some reason, every dns server I try cannot resolve the hostname.

Seasonal Attribution Project

Milo says to SAP members who are still crunching models
I have heard from the AOPP [Oxford Uni Dept of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics] IT chap that the SAP server will be taken down some time this week for OS re-installation and disk replacement. I have no idea exactly when this will be, whether there will be any warning, how long it will take or whether it will even happen at all.
If it does then the server should work properly afterwards and also start making its data available for download through the results portal.

(The results portal makes CPDN model results available to researchers worldwide. It isn't a BOINC project.)

Enigma@Home is back.

After a prolonged outage, the project is coming out of slumber. TJM had to reset the forums to a previous backup since updating the software caused all threads to get 'attacked' by the backslash problem.

on the 13th of July, TJM wrote:

Hello!

Unnannounced because I was going to do some internal tests only, to check if my new daemons are working properly. Then I noticed that the first batch of few hundreds tasks was gone before I attached my test host, so I decided to release more :D

The project is not yet stable and there will be a break (hopefully not to long) after the first batch of ~20,000 tasks - I have to rewrite some parts of the server software to add support for multiple ciphertexts (M4 project currently has 3 'subservers', each with different part of the last M4 message).

I'm still working far away from home (I'm coming back around 6th Oct), but now I have a crappy internet connection which is better than nothing, so the project development is slowly going ahead.

Cosmology's back- well, mostly.
I was able to access the message boards once today, and sporadically uploaded work units.

Milo has been told that the SAP server will be taken down tomorrow (Thursday). He may not be able to get it up and running again until next Tuesday.

It looks like Enigma@Home has vanished from the radar.
I'll try to find out what may have happened.

Correction to previous news item about the SAP server. Milo's now been told that the new disk and OS will be installed on Tuesday 22 July instead, but the server will be down before that for backups to be made. Milo apologises for the change of plans, but he has no control over when this work is done.

SAP HADAM models downloaded from the CPDN main project since May 2008 will not be affected. But CPDN members still running SAP HADAMs created before May 2008 will find that these models cannot trickle or upload zip files while the SAP server is down. If you have one of these older HADAMs you could suspend it from Monday 21 July and process other tasks instead, or suspend BOINC network activity. Check SAP server status here.

The PSU of the server died. TJM's brother replaced it and started it up again. Enigma@Home is back.

Anyone know what is going on with Docking@home? What's up with the invitation?
