After installing a customised skin for the simple GUI, whenever the computer is rebooted the manager reverts back to the default skin and the custom one must be re-selected from the preferences menu. Is there a way to make the custom skin default, whether in the skin xml or in boinc itself? Cheers, Chris |

Try exiting BOINC before rebooting. Yes, by exiting BOINC before shutting down the computer does retain my custom skin once the computer is up and running again. However, I have found other skins to stay selected without having to exit BOINC before every shut down. Is it possible I have missed anything else? |

Which skin is it that does stick and which one is it that doesn't? Who made the skins? Anything different in their xml files? |

Which skin is it that does stick and which one is it that doesn't? The skin that remains selected is the Space skin from Crunching Family The skin that reverts to default (or the space skin if it is installed) is my own kilobox skin. I can't see anything in the two xml files that would make a difference. |

OK, I can reproduce it by just logging off. With either skin. I'll make a Trac ticket: [trac]#465[/trac]. |

Thanks, thought I was going crazy. Hope it's an easy fix |

An easy fix is also to exit boinc before shutting the computer down. We should all really be doing this anyway. |
