Sir Richard Branson has contacted Google, who then contacted the two companies from whom Google buys satellite photos. Fresh photos have been taken, and people participating in Amazon.com's Mechanical Turk are now searching through them, marking each 300x300ft square either "yes" for something interesting or "no" if not. (I don't know if they have any redundancy) Here is the NPR story -- Eric Myers "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." -- William Butler Yeats |
