Sometime next year? Still quicker than a few CPDN/BBC members are completing their climate models. A small number have managed two or three trickles (out of 160) in 11 months+.

So as on CPDN, there is no effective deadline...........

One person I'm thinking of has 1.5GHz Celeron which is a faster CPU than I had when I started my BBC model. I have to say that when I saw that each of the 160 model years took nearly two days to process running 24/7, I did (momentarily) wonder whether I had the wrong sort of computer.

At the rate this game is going, it won't be resolved until sometime next year.

Well if you'd get off your duff and post...

...oh, you said "get off your duff". Oops.

Well, this thread is really moving slowly. Especially when compared to the typical "last one to post wins"-threads. ;-)

Well, you might say that some of us are just a little slow :-)

But basically the traffic here is just lower.

However, you can help liven things up here.

I'm glad to report that the usually relentless flow of spam to my gmail account has during the last two days almost stopped. Isn't it nice to realise that most of the spammers are full of Christmas spirit, busy helping Father Christmas, cooking lovely meals etc?

So Happy Christmas to all the spammers who celebrate it! I hope you also celebrate New Year in your various countries. Spammers, if you watch this thread I'll remind you during the year of lots of other festivals you can celebrate.

Interesting you post that Mo. I've noticed the amount of spam caught on my blogs has also taken a sharp dip. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Yep, they all went to BOINC Trac on xmas. 'toper' filled the whole wiki with spam, from top to bottom, *twice*. 'alltella' added some more in-between, which I deleted manually.

I liked how alltella deleted the spam toper had left behind, to then add his own spam to specific pages. Nice of him.

It is interesting that you have to be outside the thread to count how many posts are in it. I suppose that is the nature of all forests, they have to be seen from the outside, from the inside you only see the trees.

Happy holidays,
