I recently had some problems in some of the new projects to create my team profile in the right formatted way. All codes were just shown as codes and not translated in the supposed items.

There are allready threads in the project fora about this, but for me it looks like a pattern, so I post it here. I won't open a ticket in trac until I have more info about it, but this seems to be the right place to get more information.

Threads in other fora:

Cosmology
BRaTS
APS
Gruesse vom Saenger

Theres something at other all projects now.

Where my team page was ok, I went to management functions and edited it.

@APS@home, I manually typed in TEST
TEST
TEST
in front of what was already there. (Some thought it was a browser or windows cut-n-paste problem)

Then saved.

Then edited again and did view source.

It shows

TEST <BR> TEST <BR> TEST <BR>

Same thing on a different project, but I used a different browser.

And same thing on a different project using this same browser.

They all were correct before.

If I view source on a project I haven't edited recently it shows as
in the source.

I went to 2 projects that does not have updated code yet (like, BelgianBeer), tried it and it remained as it should be.

The developers have introduced something that causes this. As all the ones fubar'd have a more recent, since may 9th tag in them.

Updated projects say:

Old one says 2005 or 2006 dates:

So somewhere, probably more recently they introduced an error.

I'm sending an email now to the dev's see if whomever is responsible for this section of code can find out what happened or is wrong and I posted a defect ticket on trac, #303.

I started to notice this issue back in the end of March, so somewhere around this some change was mad that resulted in this happening. The test put into the team description box seems to be saving correctly, for when I try to edit the field aster saving, it shows up exactly the same as I had first entered it.

Rytis fixed it already. Ask the projects to update their forum software to include this changeset.

Does this mean that all the forums with recently updated forum software need to implement this fix?
